Fred Head asked:

My Sister has worked 7 years for a bank at a major theme park in Florida. Through that time she has developed severe carpel tunnel. Workmans comp would not pay for the surgury her doctor says she needs, so she has filed a law suit.

Recently, her boss came to her “as a friend” and asked her to drop the law suit, otherwise the company might fire her.

What are my sisters rights in this situation? Any helpful suggestions?

She needs to talk to her attorney about it.

I hope he gets fired for that. Feeling Mutual

It’s against the law to fire an employee for filing a workman’s comp claim. It’s likely, however they will find another reason to get rid of her. I’ve seen it happen many times. She needs to talk to an attorney asap. Dave S
