I understand formal attire is required, but is it more in terms of a formal dress or a business suit?

I am going on a school trip, and all it says is formal attire.
I’m sorry, I’m a woman.

I have a job interview tomorrow and am sort of confused on what to wear. When applying for the job the add said that the “attire is Business casual, but not sloppy Business casual” WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? When I think of Business casual I think a suit. However Im in Texas and it is HOT. Any suggestions, I really need this job.

I have a very smart loose fitting suit that looks perfectly OK with a very nice shirt buttoned up with no tie

A safe option is the suit with classic white shirt and tie (which I don’t like)

Does ‘Business Casual absolutely necessitate a tie or can I get away with the first option?

Business meeting in Geneva, Switzerland. Curious to know if people wear suits and ties or they are business casual.

I have been told in the past that no matter what the interviewer says, wear a suit. I have also been told, don’t ignore what the interviewer wants. if they invite you to wear business casual, do so.

Does anyone ever notice that there are women that wear business seats and sometimes even a tie when working in a movie theater, at a hotel, or any office. Why can women wear business seats and dress like men but MEN CAN NEVER DRESS LIKE WOMEN?!!! I never see a man in a skirt or a dress unless he is gay. Shorts yes for men but not skirts. And men don’t wear brawls either.

What if someone did see a man wearing a dress though? Wont that be odd? It certainly isn’t odd for women to wear a suit and tie!

Are certain shirts more acceptable than others? How formal is too formal? Do slacks have to match when wearing a sports coat?

to wear panty-hose, or does it not matter? If you want to be taken seriously = panty-hose? I have this career fair to go to and I would like to just not wear panty-hose but I don’t want that to reflect negatively upon me (as if I don’t know the correct attire, which, is obvious since I’m asking, heh.) And so, should I? Does age matter at all in the choice…? I really don’t know, please help. Thanks.

What type of watch (wristwatch) is acceptable for wearing with a suit i.e. business dress? A link to a picture of an example would be useful – thanks.
