I already work in the office and tomorrow I have an interview. It is for a Systems analyst position. I already work in the area that is hiring for the position. Our office is business casual and I already work with the manager doing the interview. Do I dress in a suit and tie? Or can I go with a very nice set of pants, dress shirt, tie and a sweater? I’m thinking that a suit would be overdressing, but a sweater and tie seems like it would go over nicely. Help!

I have a skirt suit that is light grey based with light blue and white accents. I actually saw it on the state of the union address, but I am wondering if this is considered “business professional” and be okay to wear in february?
I guess I should add that it is a graduate school interview for a public administration program. I want to look professional, but friendly and approachable since I essentially want to work with the public.

im 16 and find golf terrribly boring, just not up to my excitement “par”. anyways, im starting to think id better learn because all the “white collar” jobs seem to have a lot to do with building a relationship via the course?

One of my greatest sources of satisfaction is in deeply understanding people and their needs, and then artfully creating and brokering “deals” between people in a way that the needs of everybody involved are taken care of. I am only satisfied when everybody involved is winning in some way, and will not broker deals where somebody involved is losing.

I’ve recently been hired for a publicity job and I was told that the dress code is business casual (no suits required). I’m 23 and while I have no problem dressing professionally, I was wondering how I could dress biz-cas without looking frumpy.

My regular clothing style is simple but feminine/subtly sexy – how can I translate that into workplace-appropriate attire?

I am a woman, and I hate pant-suits…Could I wear a short houndstooth jumper with a suit jacket over it and black tights? Are the ONLY options for “business formal” a pant-suit or skirted suit? I do not even have a skirted suit ( and the event is tomorrow.
