I have only worn a suit when I was a kid going to church and twice since then. Hate suits and those tight hard shoes. How about you?

I’ve found that you can get away with a lot less dressy clothing so long as your attitude is right. Aran

I’m the same as you. Wore a suit to church as a kid, but that was 40 years ago and don’t even own a suit. Blue Jeans and t-shirts are all i need. rem552000

I know what you mean , Used to wear dress, panty hose, high heels to church, but things are so much more relaxed these days. My husband use to wear a suit to church and first things he would do when he got out the door , he would jerk the tie off, now they just hang in the closets. MIL-LOU

Ha Ha Ha… only if I have to go somewhere formal, such as court, or mediation. I do not attend formal church services anymore… and I hate shoes that don’t feel good… I wear my cowboy boots if I have to protect my feet, crocks otherwise!

most days you will find me in lounge wear or just in one of my hubbies big tee shirts! Scooter

I live in a small town, and if myself or any one of us were to wear a suit, the first question would be, “who died?” Derail

As a funeral director it is required that I be in a 3 piece suit when I’m working………that can be a lot of hours in fairly formal attire and those tight, hard shoes you speak of!
The minute I get home, I change into my jeans or trackies and my warm UGG boots. puppysyndrome

I have not owned a suit in probably 30 odd years (Other than a military uniform) and only wear a tie and jacket when absolutely necessary.

Went on a 5 day cruise last month and they had 1 formal night and thought I might have to call my “Cabin Stewart” to come and put the knot in my tie as it had been so long since I had tied on. Robert W

Most of the time, if I have on a suit, it is at a funeral….I am a T-shirt and blue jean man, with lots of leather for the “bike”..Sneakers and comfy boots are foot gear, and I do wear dress slacks, and button shirts on special occasions.. AlphaHilo64

Depends on the mood I am in and where I am going. I love to dress up in high heels and dresses, and I also live in jeans at home. I wear boots a lot, and long skirts. Kind of an eclectic dresser but I do clean up pretty good. Isadora

I love jeans or shorts and just wear a dress when I have to. Isn’t great you don’t really need to dress for church anymore. Folks today just kinda do their own thing, snowflake

I think my husband has been in suit 3 times. A church banquet, our wedding, and our daughters wedding. We are not suit people. I do not like business attire. sniggle

Used to have to go to work in a nice business suit and high heels. Now I can get away with a little less formal. I found that the older I got the lower my heels got. Comfort became more important than fashion. Diane M

I grew up in a family where all the men dressed in suits and wore neckties when attending church or going to social events or meetings. Only one of my uncles is still alive, but I always feel proud to be seen with him, just as I did with my father and grandfathers.

I notice the younger guys never wearing formal attire. My 26
year old son looks casual when he dresses up. My eleven year old grandson has owned one nice suit and shoes (bought by his maternal grandpa) that he never wore.
The times……. they are a changin.

I bought a suit a few years back; I figured I’d need it for a job interview that I was headed for. I bought it at the Monkey-Wards store, and put it on right there in the dressing stall. It cost me nearly a hundred dollars. I went to the interview. They thanked me for getting all dressed up for it. After the meeting, they thanked me for attending, and thanked me once again for getting all dressed up like I did. I never heard from them afterward, never got the job and never wore that suit again. I’ve dressed up twice in the last year. Once for a wedding and once to go to church … Not my church … We wear sweaters and slacks to my church.

Work part time and we all wear sweaters and slacks … nothing fancy.

I don’t own a pair of heels. Stopped wearing them about 20 years ago. Sally
