How important is it to have business casual clothing?

My wardrobe consists of suits jeans and t-shirts. I don’t have a lot in between and my company has just instituted casual Fridays. Two Fridays ago I got low-browed for wearing a suit and last Friday, I got the stare for wearing jeans and a t-shirt. I’m one of those people who doesn’t like to put any thought into what they wear so the fact that this is even a topic of discussion at work is already annoying enough?

    Its just your company ,,, It is not general over all or most companies ,, So what do the rest wear ,, get some cheap similar then , knownout

    how bout trying a pant suit. Not too casual but not too dressy. I found one from Jessica London longstemmedlily
