Is it white? Most cottons today won't shrink--check the label. I use "Shout" for soiled cuffs and ring around th collar, make up stains, restaurant grease stains, etc. You can do it in the washer in warm water--use the gentle cycle, and just regular laundry detergent. Wash with whites and light colors--no towels so it doesn't get linty. Never wash with reds or jeans (jeans and "reds" can be washed together.) Spicey

I would wash it in your washing machine with laundry soap. Use warm water or cool but do not use the dryer because it could shrink at 100% cotton. If you prefer to hand wash it do so in the clean kitchen sink with cool but almost warm water and wool lite hand washable type soap. Swish it around and squeeze the suds through it and agitate with your hand so the soap flows through it. Then wring the soap and water out of it. Change the water to clean cool rinse water and do about the same to rinse all the soap out. Agitate it again with just swishing it around and do one more clean final rinse in another cool water change. Finally wring the water out and check for any spots or stains. Usually check for those things before you begin. you can wrap your shirt in a clean towel and do wring it out with the towel wrapped around the shirt so it will be almost dry. Shake it to get the wrinkles out and hang it up on a plastic hanger to dry. If your shirt is a perma prest shirt you can just put it into the dryer on a low setting for 10 minutes and just hang it up to finish drying. Sorry it takes longer to tell someone how to wash an article of clothing out by hand to do it right. Judy
