While you might not have to wear a suit for the job, you’ll have to pony up and wear the suit on the interview. But – you can wear a short-sleeved shirt/blouse and wear that under your jacket and although it’s a pain, I would wear pantyhose, too.

Before your interview don’t rush and take your time getting ready and avoid anything that will cause you to perspire a lot. When you get to where the interview will be, stop at the restroom and freshen up if necessary – touch up make up, blot along your hairline, etc.

I live in Phoenix and have to wear a suit sometimes. It’s especially important if you are applying for a goverrnment job. It’s really hot and awful so don’t put on the jacket until the last minute. Once hired, you will learn to love capri pants and skirts because it is cooler in the summer. The men actually suffer more because they are often expected to wear long sleeved dress shirts and slacks year round.

Oh yeah, it might actually be hotter than 110 next week… Good luck on the interview! rachaelo23

All depends on the Job. Will you talk to your potential employer before this interview? If so ask “what should I wear? Business casual? 3 piece suit?” because as much as you want to look professional you also don’t want to be over or under dressed. Good Luck! Little_Blossom

You need to look professional and in a suit when you go for an interview. Even if its in Arizona or Ohio, you should do it to look good and to increase your chances of getting the job! Karen

I live in Houston, which is not as hot as Phoenix, but about a million times more humid. Yes, we wear proper business attire. Although I feel the need for pantyhose has greatly diminished.

This is an interview, and you need to project the right impression for your potential employer. In fact, they may even be impressed by your smart appearance.

The heat can be crippling sometimes, but imagine in these climates if nobody ever wore a suit just based on the outside temps. I truly feel for the men out there who must wear a shirt, a jacket, AND a tie! I don’t see how they do it!
