Interview question. Business casual office that I already work in. How to dress for interview?
I already work in the office and tomorrow I have an interview. It is for a Systems analyst position. I already work in the area that is hiring for the position. Our office is business casual and I already work with the manager doing the interview. Do I dress in a suit and tie? Or can I go with a very nice set of pants, dress shirt, tie and a sweater? I’m thinking that a suit would be overdressing, but a sweater and tie seems like it would go over nicely. Help!

If you already work with the manager then you should know what kind of clothes he or she wears. This would be a clue as to what the manager expects co workers to wear. mojave_explorer2k
set of pants, dress shirt, tie and a sweater is probably the way to go except if the manager is a slob.
If the latter, skip the tie, but do look professional.
Good Luck! Smilin\’ Fred
I would go with something that isnt over the top but better than what I normally dress in. You want the manager to know that you do take this interview seriously. kat12
I’d go for NICE dress pants and a button down shirt minus the tie.
Something about a sweater just doesnt sound dressy enough.
GOOD LUCK!! Melis__A
For an interview in a business casual office that you already work in, I’d go on the dressy end of what people wear there. Not a suit and tie though. Nice pants, dress shirt, tie and sweater sounds about right.
Good luck. Judy
