Is it crazy to not wear a suit to an interview?
I have an interview for a business co-op position at a large company tomorrow and don’t own a suit. In the past I’ve worn my dad’s suit but the arms are slightly too short. Since I rarely wear a suit, it also makes me feel really uncomfortable and awkward. For these reasons, I think I may be better off wearing just a nice pair of dress pair of black dress pants, shoes, shirt and tie. Is this uncommon or is my thinking completely rational. It’s also going to be 95 degrees out.

As long as you look clean and presentable, a suit isn’t a must for most job interviews.
It looks better than jeans and a shirt, but what you say in the interview will most likely affect their decision more than your attire. Phil Sage
oh suit shmute, wear something different!
remeber, look sophisticated, not trashy, but not geeky.

Yeah sounds fine, as long as you look smart it’s fine, you don’t necessarily need a suit. Pixie
Really you want to look good for the person who is hiring you. You want to have a fresh professional look. It is extremely important. Don’t wall in there sloppy. Iron you clothes. Since it is a large company a suit might be a good idea, borrow one for a friend or family member. But definitely invest in one when you have the money. When I go to interviews it doesn’t matter how uncomfortable I am, as long as I look good and presentable for my hope to be future employer. Manda
Wear your dad’s suit, but ask if they mind if you take the jacket off as soon as you get there since its hot. That way you give the suit first impression, but are able to get more comfortable and no one has time to notice the sleeves being too short. Best of luck to you!! Namaste
i was at a job interview where he hired girls that looked like tramps. it just depends who the interviewer is and whether or not they like u. wear something that looks professional, i dont think u have to worry about a suit. Dgdgd Ghfgh
