My wife works in a law office and always wears professional attire. Quite often she will wear a shirt and tie with a business suit. She wears the tie as a man would, the shirt buttoned to the top and the tie tied tight. Is this ok or is she committing a crime against fashion?

If the tie is masculine-looking, wide, and has a very bad pattern, then yes, she is committing fashion crime. However, if the tie is skinny and plain, then I guess it’s all right – it just depends on how the tie looks with her overall outfit.

I think a tie would look good if the shirt is fitted, the suit has feminine structures and if your wife curls her hair (or does her hair in a feminine way) and wears pointy-toed shoes (with stiletto heels (optional)). O d d y ☂

Your wife is either masculinely bisexual or she’s hopeless when it comes to feminine fashion.

Oddy has given her and you tips on how to solve her dressing faux pas. She should really wear those clothes as suggested and there are also those little ties for women that end around the navel area; but if she has big breasts she’s better off going for the thinner ties with feminine shades and textures – or she could learn to give up the ties all together.

Edit: Phstriton, obviously doesn’t understand anything in the world and is crazy and socially uneducated. He (probably a male) obviously doesn’t understand females at all. pepper

i don’t think that this is a fashion crime because there are plenty of feminine attire that have ties with them. i think that your wife should go with the more feminine tie w/shirt and suit. you can find these options at a lot of stores. star*yellow

It doesn´t sound too bad. There´s nothing wrong with that, it´s just uncommon.

You should just focus on your own work and not let other people´s attire be the water cooler topic of your day. odessyboina

no crime at all, if she pulls it off – i love to wear shirt/tie – you have to carry it with the right attitude, and be inthe mood for it, though! S k

I don’t think she is committing a crime against fashion at all, but if she is, she can defend her self in the fashion court. kenbgray

No problem, as long as her skirt is not so short that her testicles show. mark m

People are crazy when they say she is bisexual from the way she dresses.

She should wear something more girly in my opinion. phstriton

Are you sure she is not a lesbian/bi-sexual? Not trying to be mean or funny, but only a few women that I know who does that occasionally and both are bi-sexual. Shalia J

Many females are starting to wear ties now. It would be a “crime” against fashion if her tie did not match her outfit… I would suggest wearing a bright tie to spruce up an outfit. So, in short, it is not a “fashion crime” if she wears it with the correct colors and outfits. mango874
