ok so i have to wear a business suit for a ceremony that i have to attend and i’m fourteen and what i’m being told to wear seems somewhat all the same and a bit boring. i want to wear a grey jacket and pants, maroon dress shirt and a silver tie. is that too non business like. help with suggestions if too much or other things that may look better? thanks have a good one!

What should I bring with me to a small business networking event?
I have started my event planning business about a month ago, so understandably I haven’t gotten any clients as of yet. I’m going to a networking conference for women in business on Saturday, where there will be 400 or so small business owners. They will have keynote speakers, brunch, breakout sessions, and then we will have time at the later half of the event to “network” with each other.
I’m so nervous! I don’t know what to bring, what to say… I need tips! I want to present myself in the best way possible, to maximize the rewards of going to this event. However, I don’t have a lot of stories to talk about within my portfolio (other than the personal or job-related events that I’ve done that got me to this point). How do I answer the tough questions? Do I act like someone who’s just starting out, or do I try to sound like I’m established? What’s the etiquette for these types of events? What to say, do, what not to say or do…
Also, I don’t know what I should bring. I know I should bring business cards for sure, but with that many people, is it wise to bring a brochure as well? Would that be overkill with the stacks of brochures everyone will probably be handing each other? I will do it if I should. I just need some advice. I’ve never done this before so please bear with me because I’m new to this, clueless and need all the help I can get. And how should I dress? Business suit? Business casual? Wear a company t-shirt? LOL

If you were driving home late at night and someone one was standing on the roof of your house in A.) a fireman’s outfit, B.) a business suit C.) a clown costume, the clown is the only one that would make you keep driving and never return again. How do you put back color and richness into a washed out business suit?
My mother recently washed my business suit, in the washing machine. It used to be a rich brown color, but now it is washed out, and I think it is ruined. Is there any way to fix it? To put back the color in the suit? Would dry cleaning it after having it washed in the washing machine do anything to help?
