What type of laptop should a college business student buy? Why? Where?

I’m not really sure about the technical details when buying a computer; but i do know that anything over 2GB is good.
What are the other technical things (such as “AMD” or “Intel”, which company, etc…) that go into consideration when buying a laptop?
And which one can suit a business student?
If you can, please also list the price
