This was in the e-mail they sent me: “Dress for the interviews is ‘grad school casual’ or what you might anticipate wearing to a graduate class. Ties and business suits are not necessary.”

Ordinarily I’d wear nice pants and a suit jacket, but it looks like I need to be a little more casual. I was thinking maybe some nice jeans, leather flats, and an argyle sweater, but I wanted to hear your opinions!
I’m going into education.

Haha when I asked my mom this question she said she always wore ripped jeans and sweatshirts to grad school classes.

I had one interview with one a few years ago and went in a business suit. There were about four other people there interviewing, all in jeans and a casual top. I know it’s better to overdress for an interview, but can I easily get away with a simple skirt/khakis and a nice top rather than something as formal as a suit? Thanks!

Has anyone worked at mervyns before and can tell me what their business casual is? I was told to wear business casual, no jeans and that was it. I need to know what top i should wear. Can i wear no collar tops? do i have to wear a suit? and am i allowed to wear dickies?

When I’m working I’m in my Naval uniform, but when I’m home, I’m jeans and t-shirt all the way!
