Does “professional” have to be the business suit or can it be more casual with the blouse and dressy black pants and shoes?

I have a job interview, and I need to wear appropriate business attire. I have recently finished school, and right now I have two tops to choose from: a twin set and a short sleeve jacket. Which would be more appropriate? I already know that I need a suit, but I can’t buy one in time for this interview.
I cannot go buy anything until after the interview.

I’m 17, tomorrow I have my first job interview at Kohl’s and they told me to dress business casual. I have no button up shirts or slacks, I don’t know what business casual is but I can assure you I don’t own anything business casual…

What do I wear then? What would be appropriate to wear at a job interview if I don’t own button up shirts, slacks, dresses, or suits, and can’t buy any of these things?

I am not a dirty person or an ugly girl by any means. I am just heavy. I have a well-tailored business suit and will be very presentable. Im just concerned that my weight may prevent me from getting the job. It is for an admissions director at a prestigious college. Any thoughts?

I am a college student and have a job interview at small business for a part time position..They require people to wear business suits and this company has about 15 employees since they require all employees to wear suits is there a minium hourly wage I should request since I have to wear a suit for a part time position. This job is located in NJ and the position is like an office assistant.

Times have changed and so has the fashion. What is acceptable for interviews? I wouldn’t think I would have to wear a business suit???? right??
