Tomorrow I’m going to see an Air Force recruiter for the first time. I don’t have the full jacket/tie business suit, but I do have a polo shirt and khaki pants. Is that enough, or would that be over or even under dressing?

Okay it’s hot as h*ll in New York City right now and I’d love to find something else to wear than a business suit to client meetings.

The problem is I’m an attorney, and given the nature of both my profession and my clientele, the navy blue pinstripe suit tends to be the attire of choice.

Does anybody have suggestions for an alternate wardrobe choice? Let’s assume for the sake of the argument that “khakis and a polo shirt business casual” is not in the offing.

I’m especially interested in hearing from other New York City-based professionals.

Sometimes it gets cold and I don’t have any jackets that fit me. I know jackets don’t really go with polo shirts, but I don’t want to buy more shirts just so I can look good with a jacket. What kind of jacket would look good with a polo shirt?

Hoodies? Sports Jackets?
