I live in the northeastern U.S. and have my first job that requires business attire (I just finished college). Usually I’ll be wearing a shirt and tie, but also a suit occasionally. What kind of coat is appropriate? The same kind of normal winter coat that’s worn with casual attire? Or something more dressy?

I am not so good with fashion, the suit is a dark blue with pin-stripe, is this too “business professional” or is it suitable for a wedding. Also, if so, what would be a nice color shirt and tie to wear with it.

The pinstripe is very small, it is not too flashy or anything like that. Just not sure if it would be a good color.

My wife works in a law office and always wears professional attire. Quite often she will wear a shirt and tie with a business suit. She wears the tie as a man would, the shirt buttoned to the top and the tie tied tight. Is this ok or is she committing a crime against fashion?
