I have an interview for a business co-op position at a large company tomorrow and don’t own a suit. In the past I’ve worn my dad’s suit but the arms are slightly too short. Since I rarely wear a suit, it also makes me feel really uncomfortable and awkward. For these reasons, I think I may be better off wearing just a nice pair of dress pair of black dress pants, shoes, shirt and tie. Is this uncommon or is my thinking completely rational. It’s also going to be 95 degrees out.

I’m from France and I will be there end of January.
I suppose I have to bring some hot clothes (winter coats, hats, gloves..) but my main concern is about shoes: do you people in Canada keep your winter boots during day at the office or meetings (I would feel a bit strange keeping them with a tie & suit) What are your habits?

What colour shoes to wear with a grey pant suit that has light/powder blue pin stripes? What shirt goes with what shoes for this type of business suit?

I’m looking for a generic style black shoe to wear with both my black and charcoal suit and just normal business casual wear. There are so many styles brand doesn’t matter but what is the general type of shoe that would go well with both of them?

That’s the cardigan similar to what I’ll use with a white shirt inside or something I don’t know if it’ll suit with a tie.
