I’m going into the business world in Syracuse pretty soon so I’m almost always going to be wearing suits and tie. I’m not really experience with formal attire since I’m a recent college graduate. So in cold weather, what should I wear with a formal suit? Trench coat, pea coat, over coat?

This event is for business students. We are going to teach them how to use a eating stencils at business dinners and what not to wear, and their will be a fashion show…. At the dinner everyone will be wearing suits.

I am going to a job fair, and even though I have suits, I just feel more comfortable in dresses, albeit classy ones (little black dress?). Would that be okay for “business casual”?

I’m only 18 and don’t have any professional education or anything that would get me into some high paying business job.
I just like dressing up.
Someone suggested a nice clothing store and said that they might even give me store credit to buy suits to wear to work.

Are certain shirts more acceptable than others? How formal is too formal? Do slacks have to match when wearing a sports coat?
