What do I wear to a Vietnamese wedding?

My girlfriend wants me to go to her cousin’s wedding, but I never been to a Vietnamese wedding before! I know the females wear the traditional dresses during the actual wedding. But what do males wear? And post reception? Should I go with black slacks, dress shirt and tie? Or do I need to wear like a business suit? Help! Thanks!

just ask, because it should say on the invitation if they want you to dress a certain way. just ask your girlfriend, she should know what you should wear. nicole [ilk]

If you’re just attending, you’d wear what you would at an American wedding. Being Vietnamese makes no difference. What you stated above is fine. Tony J
