Ant asked:

I have just bought a suit from river island, it has one button and two slits on the back. It is discribed on the website as a single breasted suit jacket. I have never wore a suit before and I need this for work? Is it a business suit or a dinner suit?

dinner suit, what you probably want for work is two buttons with no slits on the back

single breasted suit jackets are generally more formal than work. Eric

Go to BHS instead. River Island is a bit too classy for a work suit. Cheaper too. A work suit beteen £100-£150 is about right unless you are in sales. Dad\’s found yer scoo\’er

It is just taste, some like single breasted, some like double breasted.
You can wear either for work. spiegy2000

Did you buy an entire suit(pants and jacket) or just a jacket? A one button doesn’t sound like business attire. Go back to the store and ask. foureveryung
