What should I wear to a conservative job interview?
I am interviewing with a conservative (not political!) organization. What should I wear? I thought about a business suit with peep toe pumps, but is that out of line? Should they be closed-toe shoes? What would you wear?

I won’t go there. LOL BUT I betcha I would make a lot of people laugh! Kevin B
I’d wear a pant-suit if possible. I wouldn’t wear open-toed shoes if it is very conservative. Good luck! Allison B
wear something….conservative? J D
Yes, closed-toe shoes unless you live in Hawaii or something. It is always good to be overdressed, and usually not a bad idea to call the place and ask what their company style is. If the place is reasonably public, you could go and scope it out before hand and see what everyone else is wearing. Don’t be ’sexy’ but be attractive. Wear a little makeup, a nice suit, and tie your hair back or do the french braid or bun or other conservative hairstyle.
It’s a little off the subject, but there’s some tips for women in my blog here:

Depending on the area of the country you are in (I live and work in Santa Cruz, CA – where business casual takes on a new meaning…UGGS are a staple of casual work attire.) I think a standard business suit or button down shirt and dress pants with pumps are appropriate.
As long as the heels are not over 3″ high or clear, the pumps might add a little sophistication to the outfit. I would stay away from mules or sling backs as they give off a “slap” noise when you walk, almost like flip-flops.
Make sure you have a pedicure too. No one likes to see yellow toes and scaly feet. jsco74
