What should I wear to my graduate school interview tomorrow?

This was in the e-mail they sent me: “Dress for the interviews is ‘grad school casual’ or what you might anticipate wearing to a graduate class. Ties and business suits are not necessary.”
Ordinarily I’d wear nice pants and a suit jacket, but it looks like I need to be a little more casual. I was thinking maybe some nice jeans, leather flats, and an argyle sweater, but I wanted to hear your opinions!
I’m going into education.
Haha when I asked my mom this question she said she always wore ripped jeans and sweatshirts to grad school classes.

Second option sounds better. I suppose it depends on what program you’re going into, but in the sciences and engineering most of us dress like slobs if we’re not teaching (jeans, t-shirt, flip-flops). eri
