Why do news anchors, politicians, pro athletes, etc. wear ‘business suits’ complete w/ leash around neck?If?

it’s to be ‘respectful’, why is that respectful, it seems impractical? Would jumpsuits make more sense?Maybe different colors could let you know whose ‘more important’?

I a retired pro athlete I can tell you that I wear a suit when my wife tells me I need to. Other than that I wear shorts or sweats. Proud Texan
Status. It is superficial. I say learn to love yourself and dress comfortably. I personally dislike the suit and tie look immensely. Unfortunately I have to dress like that often. Law Man
