Why do some college basketball teams wear suits in their pictures?

During the NCAA tournament I have noticed that some teams take individual pictures of the players while they wera suits, and others have their jersey on.

I personally think it looks a lot more clean cut and respectable when they wear suits in those pictures. Kansas and Texan both wear suits.

Is it a traditional thing? Why don’t all schools do that?

Because not all schools can afford to outfit their players in suits. Texas and Kansas are two of the best funded schools in all of college athletics. You’re right though, it definitely looks classy.

    What up Liz-Beth,

It’s both. There are pictures where the players wear suits. Most teams have a dress code where you wear suits when you’re on the road- and similar to the NBA sometimes players who are too injured to play can wear suits on the sideline.

There will also be pictures taken of players in their jersey at well. When you go on the team website you want to see players in their jerseys not suits.

Different schools do have different traditions.

In different states there are different laws, but it doesn’t mean that its a traditional thing. Different schools do not beleive (do not need to) that they should were there uniforms or so called ’suits’ while there taking there picture.
