Why is it that so many people are for McCain; When we have the republicans too Blame for the Failed Economy?
When the republicans took over we had a balanced defecate, good jobs and a balanced economy. Now eight years, we have high Gas prices, high unemployment, and the economy is in the crapper.Undoubtedly George W. Bush has been the sorriest President this country has ever had.I suppose that everyone has forgotten when McCain ran with Robert Doyle; Mr.Where am I, Who am I, and Where am I . This clown looks like old speaker of the house in a business suit!

Because its the democrats who are in congress
Congress makes the laws
Learn how government works, before you go and blame someone you have no understanding of.
It would also help if you used proper English. Look up the word “defecate” as you typed. Learn the proper usage of to, too, and two. Perhaps education is key, and thats why people think the way that they do. the answer guy
Wright its all our fault…….watever u say. Sunkissed
You obviously have your hands full just focusing on defecating. Let the rest of us worry about the really big problems. captainspalding3
Congress is the one that runs the economic.Bush and Congress Which ones worse?Approval ratings for the Democrat Congress worse than those for Bush.
This website will show those uneducated the CONSTITUTIONAL power Congress has. Read up on what kind of control Congress has on War and Money. Then if you still believe its the Presidents fault, you have moved from Ignorant (unknowing) to stupid (knowing and not caring) Yes We Can Say No To Obama
Ah, the questioner is blind to the FACT that the economy took a turn for the worst when the House and Senate became liberally controlled!

You don’t really think it’s because of the president, or one party that our economy is bad, do you? We as a country need to dig deeper, do more searching about the powers that be, beyond the mainstream media. You cannot always take the news at face value. Above all, we need to pray for our country. ♥ homeschoolmommaof2forjesus ♥
I’m as baffled as you are. I am a little disappointed with Obama as his opponent. Although I think he is a very nice, family guy, I don’t think he was the best choice to oppose Obama. He is a nice guy not a great politician. Combine that with the bigots who wont vote for a black man, and we have Trouble. I am so afraid of McCain. We cant survive with another republican. As to Bush – he is just an ignorant puppet! i was shocked to see him elected and even more shocked that he was re-elected. he is an embarrassment! Ellen D
It’s simple. In American politics, the average voter lines up behind the candidate for their party without any serious consideration for the candidate’s leadership ability. By saying this, I’m not trying to say McCain is more or less qualified than Obama. I’m just saying that the average voter blindly follows the Elephant or the Donkey. ?
The failed economy is not the fault of the Republicans, it is the fault of the president, who happens to be Republican, and his cronies. The current Dem congress was happy to play along with the hope that if things got bad enough, the people would blame the GOP.
I, however, see through Fancy Pelosi;s and Reid’s nonsense and I, a lifelong Dem, will not only vote for McCain, but I will probably vote a straight GOP ticket.
Bush intentionally lowered the value of the dollar (he said so in speech two years ago. His stated purpose was to increase sales of American goods. Problem is America no longer manufactures much of anything9n. He really did it to increase his profits from his oil companies.
What I don’t understand is why people are surprised. If you vote for an Oil Baron to be your president, you are going to have a perceived shortage of oil and a bad economy. (When the value of the dollar goes down, the seller gets more money. Then, when the value goes back up, the seller doubles;es his money.
So… that is why I can vote for a Republican even though I’ve been a life-long Dem.
Obama’s character is more like Bush’s than McCain’s. He is motivated by power an greed. McCain has been a public servant with the track record to prove it his entire adult life. susanmarie
Look, I’ll agree that Bush is the sorriest president ever and that he had a lot to do with the economic trouble we are now in, but there are serious flaws in your logic.
First of all, Republicans are individuals. Bush has one kind of policy, many other Republicans would want a different one.
Second, there are no controlled experiments in economics. You therefore cannot ever say with scientific confidence what the cause of an economic outcome is. Economic conditions are shaped by many complex factors. For instance, the housing bubble is one of the causes of our current problems, but it was recognized as a bubble by some people even before Bush took office. Inflation is also a long-term trend. Causes and effects are not obvious, this leaves a lot of room for people to hold to many ridiculous political ideas. Querious
There’s PLENTY of blame to go around for both parties and BOTH are “spend” crazy, although the Repubs a little less. Obviously you haven’t been following the international scene with Russias little adventurism. WHO cares what the economy or stock market is, if we are heading into a showdown with Russia, Iran and lesser degree, China. Perhaps a lot of people are starting to understand, Obama doesn’t have the experience, nerve, courage or even desire to stand up for what is in the best interest of our country. Russia WANTS the old USSR back and we BETTER put that to a stop or there will never be a second “cold war”………………only a nuclear winter. ?
Lets get things right here; first it the Libs that have this economy in bad shape. Reasons are for which all libs stand for. 1 welfare, 2 abortions at taxpayer expenses, 3 illegal immigrant medical bills paid by taxpayers, 4 BS environmental laws in place at taxpayer expenses and final high taxes do to the libs and there spending habits frank_michigan
Excuse me, but what does going to the restroom have to do with the economy?
High unemployment, 5.5 percent, are you on drugs?
The economy is doing fine for most and only a loser for those that are losers.
If you want to rant, but right now, after reading this, I can just imagine a disgruntled children’s party clown banging on the keyboard. Pickles taste good
the only reason we had a ‘balanced’ budget was that Clinton made funny with the numbers.
economies usually show the effects of decisions around 7-10 years afterward. Patriot P
